Nteje, May 28, 2018 (MOI) Transition Committee Chairman, Oyi Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State, Mr Nnamdi Nwadiogbu says rumours that herdsmen have invaded some communities in the area is not true.

Mr Nwadiogbu said that various measures had been installed to sustain the tempo of security by Gov. Willie Obiano over the past four years.

Nwadiogbu, while briefing newsmen at Nteje, Headquarters of Oyi LGA noted that arrangements had been finalised to meet with all herdsmen in the area to sign a peace pact in order to promote harmonious relationship with the communities.

``Those we are meeting with are the police, the Presidents-General of every community, the traditional rulers, vigilance groups, herdsmen and other relevant bodies,’’ he said.

Nwadiogbu, who stressed the need for welfare of workers, said: ``it a heinous crime to deny workers of their entitlements, especially now the economy has been harsh’’.

He urged workers to live up to expectation and discharge their duties diligently in line with civil service rule.

He, then, commended Gov. Obiano for his attitudinal change approach in attracting development. (MOI)
