By Chris Chikelue
Agulu (Anaocha LGA), Aug. 20, 2018 (MOI) Government of Anambra State has been eulogised for being over the most socially harmonious state in the country.
Chinenye Ebelunor, President Home and Abroad Women of St. Luke’s Anglican Parish, Agulu, said this at the grand finale of this year’s August Women’s Conference.
This year’s women conference at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Agulu had the theme: ``We Walk By Faith And Not By Sight’’.
Speaking on the theme, the home and abroad President, urged the women not to expect earthly rewards, saying that God rewards.
Mrs Ebelunor commended the wife of the Governor for the motherly nature with which she had been handling issues of the indigent persons, especially widows and the less privileged in the state.
The president thanked the Bishop and wife of Awka Diocese of the Anglican Communion Rt. Rev. Alexander Ibezim and Mrs Martha Ibezim for their great work in ensuring that the Diocese was growing stronger.
She noted that the task of keeping the home and managing various personal endeavours had made women to give up easily and become frustrated about life.
Ebulunor urged women never to be weary of doing good, just as Jesus did during His earthly sojourn.
She commended all the sponsors of this year’s programme and resource persons for their support and response to the women’s call even at short notice.
The women conference was rounded off with a
thanksgiving service and cutting of their 64th session cake at the Church
